Hello my tiny dinos! Kat here, been a while eh? I have a perfectly good explanation for my absence. You see I have fallen down the rabbit hole yet again. Now when I say rabbit hole I don't mean I stuck my foot in a rabbit's hole and the rabbit bit me so I had to go to hospital and thats why I've been away. (Although that would be more entertaining) When I say I've fallen down the rabbit hole I mean I have given in to a new fandom... causing general lack of human interaction, etc.
In my opinion having someone you know and love fall into a fandom (the rabbit hole) is alike to having someone you love and care about pass away. So you know how there are the five stages of grief right? Well i have created a list of the five stages of fangirl...
The Five Stages Of Fangirl
stage 1.) The introduction
this is the first time you hear a bands music, watch a new TV show, read a new book etc...
Maybe your friend introduced you or maybe you discovered it on your own. either way fasten your seat belts because this is going to be a bumpy ride. You open your laptop and google them, this leads into stage 2
Stage 2.) going along for the ride
by this point you have entered the rabbit hole, you can still turn back but the path ahed looks more exciting. you are googling everything about everything about them you follow then on all social medias but fangirls that have been there for years mock you saying that you will never truly be one of them and asking "oh yeah, your a fan? whats the lead singers childhood bestfriends dogs name? Ok so maybe you're not that crazy yet but you're getting there.
Stage 3.) fan account founder
You are an expert on anything even remotely related to the subject, you have been there a few months and you more than fit in with the other members of the fandom. They look up to you, you have their merch, you have a shrine of them in your bedroom, your dress style has changed to match the main character or lead. By this point you have fallen deep down the rabbit hole and you keep going deeper and deeper passing other fangirls and album covers on your decent down.
Stage 4. ) secretly debating not running for fangirl president ever again
Your fan account has the most followers of any ever seen before. But your followers are getting upset because you haven't posed in a while (sound familiar? lo sorry) You arnt having as much fun with your blog as you used to you have seen every text post and every interview you scroll though youtube murmuring "seen it, seen it" over and over again until you throw your laptop at the wall in frustration until you decide that you have reach the bottom of the rabbit hole...
Stage 5.) press the repeat button
You are at the bottom of the rabbit hole, you take a look around and notice a small door. you go through said door and you have discovered a new place filled with attractive band members and sappy fan fiction. the cycle has repeated itself
